Why do you have a website if you have no clue about Hotel SEO, or how to rank a website? Is it just that you have a website because every business needs one?
You could be as well fine just with having a Facebook Page for your Luxury Hotel & Resort. Do you even know how your website is performing on Google? Where is it ranking? Is it page one, page two or maybe even on page 19?

I have been in a meeting just a couple of days ago. The meeting was in Berlin with a top Luxury Hotel, the meeting was all about the Q1 for 2018.
The corporate Marketing manager came from Frankfurt to present what he was doing. He showed us some great graphics and where the Hotel traffic is coming from.
It was amazing to see that 87% came from Google! So I asked him, is it organic search or PPC? His reply was, we only do PPC. SEO does not work for us.
I asked the marketing Guru how much do they spend an average month on PPC. It is around 30k per month. Wow, they are spending 30k a month on average on PPC and they have no clue about Hotel SEO.
I was actually not surprised by this answer because this is what I hear quite a lot when I have a meeting with a Luxury Hotel & Resort.
My next question, for which I already knew the answer to it was. Do you know where your Luxury Hotel website is ranking in Google and for which keywords?
It was silence for around 30 seconds, and then an answer came out of the GM’s mouth which was pretty much what I wanted to hear.
Well you know we are spending 30k a month so we are quite happy with it. I was happy with the answer because it gave me the opportunity to explain to them what SEO actually really is.
What Hotel SEO can do for their Luxury Hotel if they will take the time to create the right content, build the backlinks and let the posts and side age a bit more.

Google is updating their algorithm around 500 times a year. And it still want’s to see great user usability, mobile friendly websites, high-quality images and good content.
